The Bank’s development agenda is delivering the financial and technical support for transformative projects that will significantly reduce poverty through inclusive and sustainable economic growth. In order to sharply focus the objectives of the Ten Year Strategy (2013 – 2022) and ensure greater developmental impact, five major areas (High 5s), all of which will accelerate our delivery for Africa, have been identified for scaling up, namely; energy, agro-business, industrialization, integration and improving the quality of life for the people of Africa.
AfDB  is recruiting to fill the following positions below:
(1) Chief Delivery and Results Officer
Grade: PL3
Position N°: 50093597

Country: Côte d’Ivoire
The Chief Delivery and Results Officer is to (i) support Senior Management in communicating a clear understanding of the Bank’s development objectives and targets, (ii) align Bank’s performance measures and (iii) lead on deep dive and special assignments from Senior Management.
Selection Criteria:
Including desirable skills, knowledge and experience
1.  Hold at least a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics or other relevant fields.
2.  Have a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in performance management and reporting with solid understanding of both corporate and operational performance issues.
3.  It would be desirable to have some experience in Delivery or Results reporting roles within Multilateral Development Banks or Government delivery unit.
4.  Having private sector experience will be an added advantage.

14.  Ability to coordinate complex initiatives in a multicultural and complex environment with demonstrated ability to work across institutional boundaries with various teams and utilise talent and expertise of team members in a productive way.
15.  Demonstrated ability to think strategically and synthesize complex issues (translated into effective oral and written communications).
16.  Ability to research and extract current best practice on Delivery and Results based approaches derived from the Bank and external organizations and disseminate and apply them to the Bank.
17.  Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in English or French, preferably with a working knowledge of the other language.
18.  Competence in the use of Bank standard software applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

(2)  Principal Budget and Resource Management Coordinator

THE POSITION:
The primary role of the Principal Budget and Resource Management Coordinator is to monitor and to oversee the coordination of the Complex work program, to provide specialist advice and guidance  on budget and resource management issues, and to promote capacity building among the clients including the Directors, Head of Units, Managers, Budget focal points and Staff. The Resource Management Coordinator will also work in partnership with clients to proactively seek to understand their business priorities to better guide them and implement a range of creative solutions that support the growth and development of the Bank in line with the strategic priorities.

1.  Hold at least a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Business administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields;
2.  Have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience; previous exposure to international, multicultural contexts would be an asset, and having private sector experience will be an added advantage.
3.  Strong knowledge and experience of budget and work program implementation processes in organizations as the Bank.
4.   Capacity for conceptual and strategic analysis and good command of budget planning and management matters.
5.  Ability to disseminate knowledge and lead communications on budget preparation and management, and performance reporting.
6.  Strong negotiation skills, coupled with the ability to build partnerships.

(3). Chief Protocol Officer (Protocol, Privileges and Immunities and Diplomatic Missions)

THE POSITION:
The objective of this job is to Provide protocol assistance for the President of the Bank, Elected Officers, Senior Management and Special Guests.
Selection Criteria:
Including desirable skills, knowledge and experience
1.  Hold at least a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Law or equivalent qualification in International Public Law or International Relations or Public Law or a similar field.
2.  Have a minimum of seven (7) years’ professional experience holding a diplomatic position or a position in a multilateral development bank. 
3.  Certificate of training in Protocol and/or diplomacy will be an added advantage.
4.  Experience in public administration and law.
5.  Having private sector experience will be an added advantage.
6.  Excellent communication skills, a diplomat or lawyer with good analytical and negotiation skills. A keen sense of initiative, rigorous and methodical approach.
7.  A good knowledge of Bank rules, policies and procedures, as well as diplomatic norms, Headquarters and other establishing agreements.
8.  Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in English or French, preferably with a working knowledge of the other.
9.    Competence in the use of standard Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point); knowledge of SAP (or other integrated document management system or quantitative and qualitative data analysis packages) is an added advantage

(4) Travel Data Analyst

THE POSITION:
The job holder overall objective will be to provide statistics and data for air travel report generation, and to track the status of the travel requests make calculation of tariffs for itinerary control, and monitoring the approval cycle. The incumbent will provide administrative and technical support to the travel and shipping business teams and collect information on Bank’s travel requirements and analyse information on travel trends
Selection Criteria:

1.  Hold at least a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
