The Job:

  • The Health Manager reports to the Chief Field Office for general guidance and supervision.
  • The Specialist is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting of the health (gender, maternal, neonatal, child survival/development) program/s within the country program and providing technical guidance and operational support throughout the programming process to facilitate the achievement of concrete and sustainable results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM) and organizational Strategic Plans and goals, standards of performance and accountability framework.

(5) National/International Consultant (Assessment of Communication for Development (C4D) in Basic Education)

  • The purpose of the consultancy is to organise and coordinate a participatory process to collect and consolidate evidence on knowledge, attitudes and practices that affect school enrolment, retention and completion, which will eventually help in the design of a behaviour and social change communication strategy to support efforts to ensure that marginalized children enrol in school, start at the right age, attend regularly, and complete their schooling with meaningful learning outcomes at all levels of the education sector, especially for girls.
  • The main focus of the consultancy are Bauchi, Niger, Sokoto, Borno , Ebonyi ,Bayelsa and Oyo states in Nigeria with view on wider implications and recommendations.

(6) Polio Access Analyst

The Job:

  • To support the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI), Nutrition and other humanitarian related programmes, particularly in high-risk states/local government areas (LGAs) in North-Eastern Nigeria.
  • To analyse evolving access issues to align with polio campaigns and reaching every settlement strategy (RES) and Nigeria military-sponsored Reaching Inaccessible Children (RIC).
  • Specific attention is to be given to those areas where access is required to ensure that programme delivery is conducted in as safe and secure a manner as possible.
  • To support and sustain existing polio campaign and catch up strategies to improve access to areas that are hard to reach and/or inaccessible.
  • To support the establishment/development of new opportunities to improve programme access, in particular inaccessible settlements and Nigerian islands in Lake Chad.
