2018 NECO: National Examinations Council November/December SSCE Registration Now On – National Examinations Council (NECO) –  The login portal for November/December Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) is now open. In this article are NECO examination time table, online  registration portal, criteria for registration and the step-by-step processes for the exam registration. These conditions apply in this application:

 

  •  Registration can be done on the website at any time (24/7) within the stipulated registration period.
  •  Passport Photograph will be required during the on-line registration.
  • Your passport photograph should NOT be more than SIX MONTHS old and must be of white background.
  • Your Biometric fingerprints will be captured during the registration.
  • You should ensure that your finger prints are captured correctly during registration.
  • If your fingerprint is mismatched at the point of verification you will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

Registration Fee & Mode of Payment

  • To register, you should purchase your registration PIN on the NECO website through NECO Treasury Single Account (TSA) SSCE (E) at the rate of “Eleven Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty Naira (N11,350)” only excluding N50 Stamp Duty.

Attestation, Photo Cards and Examination Time-Table

 

On completion of the registration process, you must obtain the following from the internet cafe:
(1) Time-Table for the Examination; and
(2) Photo Card
 
One (1) clear copy of the NECO Attestation/Photo card; which should be presented during the Examination. You have to note that Photo cards that are not clear will NOT be accepted at the Examination Hall.
 
The Referee’s Attestation section of the Photo card should be SIGNED AND STAMPED by any of the following:

 

  • The Principal of a recognized Senior Secondary School:
  • An Ordained Clergyman.
  • A Commissioned Officer of the Nigerian Armed Forces or the Police not below the rank of Captain or its equivalent.
  • And a Senior Civil Servant not below GL. 14.
  • A Legal Practitioner of not less than ten years’ experience.

 

You are no longer required to Stamp or Submit your Attestation/Photo cards in NECO State Officers.
 

Blind Candidates

If you are a Blind candidates, you are to register like everyone. However, immediately after registration you should inform the NECO State Officer of the State where you intend to write the examination.

As a matter if faxr, the towns where the Examination will be held have been grouped into examination towns/neighbourhoods. You are therefore, to select a town/neighbourhood within the State where you intend to sit for the Examination.

The registration period begins on 16th July, and ends on 9th October, 2018 at 12.00 midnight.

General Information

 

  • The Registration fee, once paid, is not refundable.
  • The use of reputable cyber cafes is highly recommended as the Council will not be liable for registration errors committed by you while registering.
  •  You are advised to carefully follow the on-line instructions while registering.
  • You should study the Regulations and Syllabuses before the Examination.
  • And you should note that your uploaded photograph during the registration will be embossed on your Certificates.
  • You should check the viability of your centre before the date of the examination online.
  • The following are not allowed in the Exam Hall: Smoking, cellular phones and other electronic communication devices
  • You should dress in mufti and you will not be allowed entry into the examination hall with arms.
  • Multiple entries are not allowed. If you register more than once you will have your entire results cancelled.
  • If you lose your PIN before registration, you  will have to purchase another PIN.
  • Please note that you will not  be allowed into the Examination Hall after the Examination has commenced.
