WEWE invites application from qualified persons for vacant positions in the USAID-funded LOPIN project.
Title of Job: Finance Manager
Location: Abuja
Core Responsibilities
The office holder will be working with Finance and Admin Director (FAD) to oversee project financial duties which include to assist.
- FAD manage sub-awards/grants for Implementing Agents (IAs).
- FAD manage account, financial records and other financial matters.
- Preparation of sound budgets and monitor project expenses in line with the cooperative agreements, USAID regulations and WEWE financial policies.
- To ensure financial systems is in compliance with USAID regulations, WEWE financial policies and the LOPIN cooperative agreement.
- Writing and submitting timely financial reports to USAID and particularly completing the financial section of the quarterly reports, filling USAID Accruals forms and Standard Forms.
- Coordinating annual USAID audits and support WEWE statutory audits.
- Maintain QuickBooks accounting software
- Supervision of finance officers

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc/HND Accounting
- Must be a Chartered Accountant or ACCA.
- At least 5 years’ experience working in the field
Therefore, he/she should have –
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s accounting and finance laws and regulations is essential and experience in Accounting practices, auditing, pay-rolling, sub-granting, finance management,
- Familiarity with USAID regulations and administrative procedures in the financial management of donor assisted projects.
In addition, added advantage will be gained with the following –
- Fluency in English required (oral and written).
- Experience with USAID projects is required.
- Masters in Finance, Accounting, or Business Admin is an added advantage.
