ACTED: 4 Current Management Positions Recruitment

The  France  based NGO is present in four continents and  intervene in 34 countries towards 8 million people, responding to emergency situations, supporting rehabilitation projects and accompanying the dynamics of development.
ACTED is  recruiting to fill the following positions below in Borno State:

(1)  Area Coordinator

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Department: Coordination
Contract: CDD
Duration: 12 months
Starting date: ASAP
Responsibilities
  • If you get this job you will be responsible for protecting  and promoting the vision, mission and interests of consortium partners towards external stakeholders;
  • You will also be representing the consortium toward the donor(s) and government authorities and therefore communicate with the donor(s) and government authorities;
  • In summary. the entire roles surrounds the activities of Internal Coordination, Project Circle Management – Project Planning, Project Implementation follow-up, Project Quality control and Grant Management.
Qualifications
  • You must have  a minimum of 5 years of experience in project implementation on the field, preferably in an international context;
  • And must be a strong team player
  • In this connection, familiarity with the aid system, and ability to understand donor and governmental requirement;
  • And must possess excellent communication and drafting skills

(2) Consortium Coordinator

Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Department: Coordination
Contract: CDD
Duration: 12 months
Starting date: ASAP
Representation:
 
  • The role entails that you must protect and promote the vision, mission and interests of consortium partners towards external stakeholders;
  • And therefore, represent the consortium toward the donor(s) and government authorities and thereby communicate with the donor(s) and government authorities;
  • And where opportunities show up, expand the donor portfolio of the consortium by tracking funding opportunities
  • On representative ground, attend government, UN, NGO and donor meetings and present ongoing consortium activities;
  • The entire roles surrounds the activities of Internal Coordination, Project Circle Management – Project Planning, Project Implementation follow-up, Project Quality control and Grant Management.

Qualifications

  • For this job, you must have not less than 5 years of experience in project implementation on the field, preferably in an international context;
  • And must be a strong team player
  • You must be familiar with the aid system, and ability to understand donor and governmental requirement;
  • And possess excellent communication and drafting skills
  • With proven ability to coordinate and manage staff and project activities

(3) Project Development Manager

Location: Borno
Positioning and Fundraising
Under Context Analysis the role holder must be one cable to
  • analyse the country’s socio-economic situation, (donor) trends, needs and gaps;And regularly conduct stakeholder analysis, in particular who does what and where (3W)
  • In summary the responsibility involves strategy development, External  Relations, Fundraising and proposal development, Contracting, Grant Management, Reporting, Partner follow-up, Management and Internal Coordination,  Internal Coordination and communications, Filing, and External Communication.
Qualifications
  • You must possess postgraduate diploma in International Development and (or) relevant Master’s level degree (anthropology, development studies, humanitarian aid, sociology)
  • Furthermore, you must be a strong writing abilities and analytical skills
  • With proven skills in political sciences or international relations
  • Therefore, must possess ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Past work  experience in the humanitarian field, proposals development, and donor relations are required
  • With previous working experience abroad.

(4) Project Development Officer

Location: Borno
Position Profile include:
  • Fundraising, Context Analysis, External relations, Fundraising and proposal development,Fundraising and proposal development, Contracting, Grant Management, Reporting, Partner follow-up, Management and Internal Coordination,  Internal Coordination and communications, Filing, and External Communication.

Qualifications

  • You must possess a postgraduate diploma in International Development and (or) relevant Master’s level degree (anthropology, development studies, humanitarian aid, sociology) for this job;
  • And must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Furthermore, Strong writing abilities and analytical skills is necessary,
  • And you must possess proven skills in political sciences or international relations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Conditions
  • Salary defined by the ACTED salary grid; educational level, expertise, hardship, security, and performance are considered for pay bonus
  • Applicable also is additional monthly living allowance
