As owners of one of the UK’s largest commercial property portfolios, we’ve got a big job on our hands transforming the Co-op estate to make it fit for the future. The estates construction team is responsible for driving our massive retail development programme, and now we’re looking to build a brand new health & safety (H&S) function to make sure our sites across the UK are safe, secure and fully compliant with regulations.
If you can bring us the retail & construction H&S experience we need, we can offer you support to study for your CMIOSH accreditation, as well as real opportunities to build a career in a business that puts people (and their wellbeing) at the heart of its strategy.
As a health & safety manager at the Co-op, you’ll be a point of expert advice and guidance. You’ll lead health and safety and build relations with key stakeholders. You will be asked to audit our construction supply chain- making sure sites in your region are fully compliant with relevant legislation.

And your ultimate goal will be to establish yourself as a trusted H&S expert with stakeholders across our retail business.
