Job Title: Head, Strategy & Planning
Location: Lagos (Head Office)
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
Group/Department: Corporate Strategy & Planning
Employment Status: Full Time Employee
Grade: SM-AGM
Core Job Responsibilities
(1) Monitoring the performance over bank set strategic objectives and direction, peer review, competitor analysis and Macroeconomic review.
(2) Harmonizing the various profit/cost centers
(3) Ensure close understanding of all SBU and branch characteristics and dynamics,
(4) Develop “Weekly performance tracker” for all Branches and SBU’s;
(5) Develop Mid-month reports, weekly income reports etc
(6) Provide advisory services to line management and supervisors
(7) Facilitate change management process for the organization
(8) Develop and present oral and written reports to line management and supervisors on relevant issues
(9) Advise line managers on performance evaluation.
(10) Providing strategic leadership on economics and economic analysis
(11) Provides internal advice and support to all levels of the organisation on the quality of economic analysis, methodologies and frameworks on key issues.
(12) Conducts analyses of policy proposals with macroeconomics implications
(13) Monitors and interprets current economic developments and domestic fiscal and monetary policy
(14) On organizational impact: he/she must ensure:
- Focus on execution and drive improvement in performance metrics;
- Coordinate and support negotiations between Innovation Labs and Wema Bank and
- Advise senior management of potential delivery capabilities through the preparation of strategy presentations and reports.

Education Qualifications
He/she must possess:
- First degree in a numeric course or any relevant social science discipline.
- A Postgraduate degree
- Or An MBA or
- A Professional qualification in a Social Science related course.
Required Experience:
Not less than 7-10 years cognate experience in a financial services industry.

Skills:
- Strong policy and analytical skills
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and their deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills in oral and written communication in English combined with matrix management skills.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong project planning strategy with an execution track record
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of necessary economic environments: micro and macroeconomics
